Adrien Tyberghein covers ‘Bad Guy’ and lets the double bass create its own sound. The instrument reveals another lecture of the song between shadows and light and each vibration brushes the air with an intense softness. An intimate version emerges and unexpected elements slip into the silences and gestures, transforming the trackโ€™s energy into a subtle and surprising adventure.
Adrien Tyberghein is presenting his own special rendition of Billie Eilish ‘Bad Guy’, which he passionately performs as part of his solo project while presenting his outstanding skills as a solo artist and drawing attention to the powerful sound of the double bass.

We are excited to share that Driss El Maloumi, the talented oud virtuoso, is featured in the November 2024 issue of Songlines Magazine! This prestigious publication highlights the best in world music, and Drissโ€™s presence in its pages underscores his significance in the music scene.

In the article, Driss reflects on his musical journey, the rich traditions of oud playing, and how he blends various genres to create his unique sound.

Born in Agadir, Morocco, in 1970, Driss El Maloumi has always embraced his North African-Arab Andalusian roots while cultivating a unique blend of classical Arabic and Western classical music. Over two decades, Maloumi has collaborated with an impressive array of international musicians, including Jordi Savall, with whom he shares a profound bond. His latest project, Tafassil (Details in Arabic), is a culmination of years of dedication, combining his compositions with orchestral arrangements, which premiered at the Musikverein in Vienna in November 2023. In addition to Tafassil, Maloumi has recorded an album called Details, reflecting on life’s essential experiences and emotions.
